Charging

Grove Road Primary School

Charges Policy

The Governors have formulated this Charges Policy.

Trips and School Journeys

Parents / Carers are asked to make a donation towards class trips in school time. The school will inform parents/carers of the total cost for each pupil as well as the subsidy provided by the school for each pupil, if appropriate.

Pupils will not be treated differently according to whether or not their parents have made any contribution in response to the request or invitation.

However, where there are not enough donations to make the activity possible, then it may be cancelled.

Information regarding School Journeys is made available when these are being organised. Parents/carers are asked to make a full contribution towards the costs of board and lodgings.

Damage/Loss to Property

A charge will be levied in respect of wilful damage, neglect or loss of school property (including premises, furniture, equipment, books or materials), the charge to be the cost of replacement or repair, or such lower cost as the Headteacher may decide.

A charge will be levied in respect of wilful damage, neglect or loss of school property (including premises, furniture, equipment, books or materials), belonging to a third party, where the cost has been recharged to the school. The charge to be the cost of replacement or repair, or such lower cost as the Headteacher may decide.
